The Real Jobs

Your new company is eager to show the web world the new concepts you're presenting. Word has spread fast among the business world about your exciting new venture. Many companies have contacted you to create new web pages for them. Web 2.0 will be a thing of the past after your company is up and running. Your first client is a new coffee bar cafe in town named The Jittery Cup. After meeting with The Jittery Cup, the following tasks will need to be accomplished:

  • You will need to craft a name for your new company and design a logo which will help brand your company.
  • After you have produced the name and logo, this will be presented to your silent partner Mr. C for approval in written format. Please follow the requirements for the written Client Proposal Report. Once these are approved you can begin working on The Jittery Cup project.
  • Your company must create and design a web site for The Jittery Cup.
  • A logo must also be created for The Jittery Cup and used throughout the website.
  • You must create a Fireworks Animation to be used in the website.
  • The website must include 5 pages: a 'Home Page', a 'Menu Page', an 'Online Ordering Page', a 'Contact Page,' and a fifth page of your choosing.
  • Each page must have the following names: index.htm, menu.htm, ordering.htm, contact.htm, and the name of your choosing for the fifth page.
  • You are responsible for all the content in each page.
  • The Menu Page must have 15 menu items along with their prices.
  • The Online Ordering Page will allow the customer to place an order online from the Menu Page and have it delivered or picked-up. The online order form must include name, phone nubmer, email address, pick-up/delivery, and payment method.
  • The Contact Page must have The Jittery Cup's company address, phone number , email address, and a form within. The following items must be in the form: customer name, phone number, contact email, and comments field.
  • Before the website can be built you must create and submit the written Client Proposal Report to your silent partner, Mr. C with your recommendations and design sketches for The Jittery Cup. The proposal must include why you decided upon the design sketch and logo creation.
  • Once Mr. C and your company have reached an agreement you may contact The Jittery Cup and let them know you have begun building the web page.
  • Each team member must work in their respective assigned roles (jobs) and be flexible to assist other team members when needed. This is a team effort and your company cannot survive without all team members contributing.

You must use the following software to complete the project:

  • Microsoft word must be used to produce the proposal report
  • Adobe Acrobat will be used to convert the report to a PDF formate
  • Photoshop must be used to create any graphics used for the project
  • Dreamweaver will be used to build the final website
